I need the help of an RDR-HXD710 owner

Hi,

I've already posted about my trouble with "Random Timer Icons" - See this thread.

Nobody has managed to shed light on the problem, although 121electricals have very kindly offered to replace the unit. However, my instinct is that this problem is a software bug and not a fault during manufacture.

So, I've spent a while this evening trying to reproduce the problem, and I've come up with a 100% method of getting these seemingly random red timer icons to appear. I now want to check if it happens on any other RDR-HXD710. So, I'd really really appreciate it if another owner could try these steps...

1) Set a timer for "Jamie's Great Escape" on More 4 on Saturday 3rd December at 13:30pm to 14:00pm. Do this in the normal way through the guide, don't set the timer manually.

2) Now see if another timer icon has appeared on "Smallville" on E4 on Tuesday 6th at 18:00pm to 19:00pm. This is what happens on my machine and I'm confident that it is a software problem and needs fixing by Sony.

Thanks for reading this and even more thanks if you can nip off and try it now

Cheers,
Beatnik.

No, sorry I've been away and/or busy.

Maybe try over the weekend.
