I was going to wait until Dubai next year to get a new Dig Cam but I think it may be wise to get something before we go.

I want to spend no more than £550.

Want to be able to take stills and also nightshot/nightscope is important.

Been looking round but there's a lot to choose from and I'm a nightmare for making a choice so I would like it to be an informed one.

Thanks for any advice given

:p

You had me confused there for a minute. I was thinking 'I'e never seen any digicams with 'nightshot' or 'nightscope!'
And of course I haven't. Digicams are digital still cameras. You're after a DV camcorder, I presume.
HAve you read reviews of camcorders from What Video, What Camcorder and Camcorder User websites?
A good place to start would be the menu at the top of this page > hardware reviews.

Hi,
I have just bought a Panasonic NV-DS38B from ediscount
www.ediscount.co.uk
for £549-00 inc. + £13-00 next day delivery.
Their service was excellent, Chris, the guy who dealt with me phoned me to conclude the sale.
I am very pleased with the Panasonic, and am compiling a review from a "newbie" viewpoint for the "Simply DV website,
www.simplydv.co.uk
(have just found the excellent, Professional review on this site, but as I have already written the bulk of mine, it should not colour my judgement)
Hope this helps, Good luck, --- Alan.:)
