Things are getting a bit static, what we need is an interesting thread to inspire lots of responses.

Unfortunately I'm not the man to provide it!

That's an odd one. Has it happened again?

It might be worth starting a new thread, might get missed on here!

This is a known glitch that can happen with some fixed pixel devices, not just PLV30, when fed a signal from a progressive scan device, be it Iscan or prog scan DVD player....

The blue screen is caused by the projector loosing sync with the incoming signal. This usually happens on bright flashes of light. Play the same part of the film again and you should be able to repeat the phenomenom. Silicon Image modded the Iscan to stop this happening with PLV30's and I think SIM2 changed the operating software in HT200/DM to fix it as well.

I would speak to the dealer you got the DVD2800 from and ask them to get in touch with Hayden Labs (DENON distributor) to see if there's any mod that can be done to the progressive output of the dvd player to stop it happening. There's a lot of Silicon Image bits inside the DVD2800 so it may be that whatever is done to an Iscan may be compatible with the DVD2800...

You could also try turning down the contrast on the DVD2800 in it;s display settings to see if you can still get a watchable image and stop it from blue screening at the same time.

Jason

Is the problem there when you feed it an interlaced output from the Denon and what about RGB!!
