Can you confirm that this hack for the Goodmans DVD3500PK works?

With the tray open, press 9817. On the hidden menu which then appears, press enter until you get to 9. The deck will now play region one and two discs. The same method also lets you deactivate Macrovision.

Does it work?

It does work but out of the three region 1 discs I own only one of them (A.I) works. The other two play upto a certain chapter then simply freeze up.
