Infocus 4805 with laptop

Hi

Has anybody used the SP4805 with a laptop?

My laptop is having a resoulution of 800X600 and 1024 X768.

Will i be able to watch widescreen dvd s in native form using any of these resolutions if i play the DVD via the laptop? Any screen cuts?

Just thinking if i can manage with the laptop dvd player till i buy an affordable HD/DVI dvd player.

Cheers
