New Home Cinema set-up - advice?
I've survived for years on cheap TVs, but I feel that with HDTV, HDDVD, BLURAY etc on the horizon I ought to invest in some decent gear. I've done a bit of research and come up with the following list:
LCD TV - Samsung LE32R41BD (is there a difference between this and the one with 'X' on the end?) - £1K approx DVD PLAYER - Denon DVD-1920 - £250 approx (What about the cheaper £100 Toshiba SD-350E?) SOUND - Yamaha AV57 (amp and 5.1 speaker set-up) - £200 approx Alternatively are there any good 2.1 amp/speaker packages around the £200-400 mark? I don't like the idea of all those leads everywhere! I've demo'd the new Yamaha YSP £800, which was fantastic, but at £800 is more than I want to spend. Decent AV rack and leads - £400-500 budget Is this a good starting system? Any other suggestions? |
