My old Panasonic NVHD650 video is playing up ! It keeps losing the sound on playback now and again - the picture goes all "smeggy" and the counter does the display that it normally does when nothing is recorded on it. It will then go back to normal again for a little while etc etc. The tapes play perfectly on my other Panasonic video.
Sorry for the non-technical description - I'm a gadget freak but not well up on the technical details in the AV department (computers are my forte)
