Anyone Remember This Spy Drama?

I don't have much to go on but would appreciate any help/suggestions with identification.

The programme in question was a drama about a US citizen who sold secrets to the USSR. He envolved both his son and a colleague in this treason - the Son was in the US Navy. It was based on a true story - perhaps even a famous case - and was probably a TV movie. Can't remember when it was shown - possibly mid 80s?

Scenes I can remember:
- The original traitor trying to get access to the US USSR embassy without the CIA observing him.
- The scene where his (traitor) son is arrested onboard his US Warship and escorted down one of the decks with the ship's company spitting/kicking him.
- The end scene where they end up in Prison.

Anyone remember it?

I remember coverage of the actual case forming part of one episode of a program called 'CIA - America's Secret Warriors'. Didn't know there was a drama reconstruction of it, though.
