Early days I know but has anyone any experience with using this new DMR-E20 DVD-RAM recorder from Panasonic.
So far unable to get a demo in store.:(

Could anyone tell me, preferably from experience,
how precise are the editing functions? That is, are
deletions of unwanted material from recordings
and the definitions of scenes for the playlist frame
accurate? (or do you get thrown to the nearest
I-frame?)

Malcolm, you want to hang fire as Pioneers new one is out soon/now and there are disc's for £1.99 - r and £3.25 -rw that should work in it. see sony dvdr thread below.
The Panasonic can also record onto DVD-R and at the moment can be got for around £700 compared to £1099 for the Pioneer.
Personally I think the DVD-RAM is great especially for the time slip function, okay at the moment the media is expensive in realtion to dvd-rw but It's slowly coming down in price.
