Ring Factory - Any good?

I stumbled upon this site, and it looks pretty cool. http://www.theringspot.com/ You're supposed to be able to turn your mp3's into ringtones. I haven't tried it out yet, but the interface looks pretty user friendly, and user friendly is good. found it on this weird little blog http://gotyerzone.blogspot.com/ and it got good reviews, kind of... Has anyone heard of this or tried it? My phone's incompatible, but it would be kinda cool to send to my friends' cell phones.

If you want MP3 ringtones don't waste money on dodgy websites, just use Nero Wave Editor to make your own.

Open the MP3 in Nero then just find the section of the MP3 you want as a ringtone (I normally choose a section about 15 seconds long) choose cut, open a new file and paste the cut section in. Save this as a new MP3.

I have a laptop with Infrared so just use that to transfer mine but even Bluetooth adaptors and USB cables are only £5-£10 on Ebay.

Once you've got one you can also use it for other stuff like synchronising your phonebook/calendar with your PC and backing your phone up etc...

Those sites are really only for people who are either too lazy to make their own or just don't know how. If I can recall, there's a Nokia Converter that converts to .amr as well. Not as good as mp3. They're real music files.

Does the Nokia thing work for phones other than Nokia? And all this stuff requires possesion of the phone, but if I want to send it to a friend's phone, then I probbaly won't have it on hand...

I honestly couldn't tell you as I only ever used it with a Nokia.

Hmm, well I've got a Seimens M56, and no data cable is the thing, so I'd have to do it wireless somehow, and this looks like the easiest way to do that... And it seems like I could send it to as many other phones as I want too, which is kinda cool.
