Smile Camcorder replacement - opinons please

Hi there,

In part of an insurance claim, they are replacing my DV cam.

The options so far are a Cannon MV450 (not keen) or a Sony TRV-30 (maybe) and a Panasonic NV-MX8B (Not found any info yet).

Looking at pixels, lcd size and image stabilisation (optical pref)

Anyone got any comments on the above ??? For ref, the model i had before was the Cannon MV30.

Also anyone seen any reviews, or details on the NV-MX8B ???

Ta,
Lee

Can only help with experience with Sony TRV30 bought late August. Nice camera, pleased with quality and ease of use.
It can be bought for less than £1100, now.
