So did Ghost in the Shell 2 get a Cinema release in the UK then???
I remember somebody saying this was getting a general release. Is this still the case? It bloody well deserves one!!

Oops, a bit of digging around has uncovered an October 28th UK release for this film!!
It'll be dubbed into English too - no closed caption subs!

I understand what you're saying crispy - I think the japanese soundtrack of this film is awesome, especially the two-channel DD mix, which is one of the best I've heard.
TBH, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to subtitles as I find them too distracting and prefer dubs now.

I dont mind dubs, but most of them are awful, I like to watch the sub first then the dub to see if it stands up well against it

Hi,
"GITS2: Innocence" has been given a very, very limited cinema outing in the UK. Mainly smaller art-house cinemas, in main cities. In Birmingham, it aired for one week only, once a day at the former UGC Cinema on Broad Street, (I say former, because it's since changed names.)
Try looking for screening details in the latest issue of Time Out magazine, available each Wednesday from any half-decent newsagent. Full screening details should be in there.
Alas, anime films rarely get major cinema releases in the UK. Even "Akira" didn't, nor "GITS1".
