SE K700i/K750i & navigation software

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading to a SE k700i or k750i (k750i if I justify it enough!).

I remember seeing some navigation software on a friends mobile a few months back, however I can't remember what phone/software it was. I was really impressed and therefore it's something that's in the back of my mind for my next phone.

I see that TomTom mobile 5 is available, which seems to be the best? However it only supports a small number of phones and not the 700/750

Does anyone know of any navigation software available for these

Also, a newbie phone question ... I have a pay as you go Vodafone SIM in an old Nokia. Can I simply use the same SIM card in an unlocked or Vodafone locked k700/k750 to keep all my details and actual number??? Do I need to do any 're-registering with Vodafone?

You can swap the sim in to a sim free or vodaphone loacked K700/K750. I would recomend staying away from vodaphone locked K700s because they have the ability to set mp3s as ringtones disabled.

There's a good thread on GPS for the K750i here... http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic...=94918&start=0

Can't get onto Esato from here (SurfControl restrictions). The most popular apps for GPS on Phones (Route 66, TomTom) are only for Smartphones - ie. Nokia 6600/7610/6630, Windows devices (Orange SPV, etc.).

Didn't think anything like that was supported on the K750, etc. Although I guess it could maybe be possible via J2ME/MIDP2.

Very true however, there's an application called DRM which will convert MP3's to enable you to use them for ringtones, alarm signals etc even on a Vodafone branded mobile....

Just get the phone reflashed. That's what I'm doing.
