Screen Solution required

The time has come to dabble in home cinema!

The wife has agreed to the purchase of a Sanyo PLV-Z3 and a screen. However there is one stipulation....

Due to the shape of the room the screen will have to sit in *front* of the 32" TV. Also it can't be a permenant fixture :-(


It comes out for films etc then goes away again...

So it'll have to be either something that will happily hand on hooks in the ceiling (which will no doubt hand something else when not in use) or some kind of pull up version.

The throw distance is about 3.4M so it'll be a 92" diagonal screen required.

Any ideas?

have a look here if interested, my mate was selling this screen. hardly used and in ecs cond, less than 12 months old still with receipt,. i think he paid over £250 for it..let me know if interested

I've just bought an Ellie 92" 16:9 manual pull down screen (£175 inc vat & delivery). Screen quality is excellent compared to my old Sapphire screen which always seemed to add noise, banding (believe it or not) as well as the normal ripples. This type of screen inevitably suffers from a bit of curling around the borders and the retract mechanism is a little bit fiddly. Overall though, I can't see any visible nasties on the screen and the slight curling isn't really noticeable, i'd strongly recommend it.
