new kid starting off help

I am just getting started and need advice on best buys for AV reciever, DVD+ speakers, not rich gave it all to my 5 kids, you know food clothes and stuff, have £400 to spend any ideas

Hello mate,
take a look at the Sony DAV-DZ500, great picture and great sound - for both Music and Video, plays literally everything, got five stars in recent magazine review in What Hifi Sound and Vision, october issue....even beat the Denon system.
So impressed, i went out and bought its big brother, the wireless DAV-DZ700!
Do a search for the best online price, it will come up in your price range.

or for something a bit cheaper giving you some cash left over for some shiny new DVD's...
