Cabling advice with Denon SD 500

I have Panasonic TH50PE42 Plasma + DVD recorder (with component and scart) + Telewest STB (scart) + Denon SD 500.

As the Denon only arrived this morning it is not connected yet. I would like if possible to use the component output of the Denon but am not sure about sound.

Please could someone give me some specific advice on connecting these items - product links if possible.

Thanks for any assistance

David
