Advice please

Have a friend with a Pioneer 575. He's looking for a cheaper 5.1 powered speaker package, ie, no seperate amplifier.

Can you buy an all in one system without the DVD player, or is he better buying a package with the DVD player, and changing the DVD players over.

Budget is £150 - £250. Suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

A suggestion rather than advice...................

A suggestion rather than advice...................

The AE P5 aego kit (small receiver/amp with sats and sub) was pretty good at £500 and can be had at a bargain now - second hand ones too don't command too much.

The 575 is better than most all in ones as an out and out dvd player.

check out these links.

PS. I'm not selling anything. Only heard them a year or two ago and was impressed despite their size.

575 is excellent, however I would still suggest a budget amp and speakers as you can mix & match
