The revised Azur 640 range

Hi,

I've seen that the 640c has been revised to the 640c V2 with twin dacs and what-not.

However, I'm also sure that I read somewhere that the 640a was also about to receive a slight makeover. Does anyone have any more info on this, ie. what exactly is being changed, and when?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Matthew

I'm also interested - I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere that they'd be out around Christmas time this year, but I can't find any info, even on their website there is no mention.

Before the forums were pulled, there was a post on their website that the v2 of the 640A would be out "maybe before Christmas, maybe a little after". I too am waiting as I need to replace my amp and I have a 640c that I am very pleased with, but the lack of information is very frustrating.

It would be great if those with inside information could post here.

I was sure they had a forum a week or so ago, but there was no mention of it when I looked yesterday! - Wonder why it was pulled? - Shame, because it's so useful to have contact with other users of the product

On another note - did anyone go to the What HiFi show this weekend?, as Cambridge were due to be there - I'm sure there would have been some of the V2's on show, or at least some more definite release info!

V2 amps have some feedback from customers implemented, more power and connections for our Incognito multiroom system. They should be out very early next year.

I'm trying to choose between the Azur range and a Linn Classik so I sent a mail to Richersounds with a few queries on this topic.See below

"Thank you for your recent email and interest in the Cambridge audio
azur
range, below you will find the answers to your questions.

There will be a 640a v2 out early next year, the 640t v2 will be out in
approx mid way through next year and finally the 640h is priced at
Ģ599.95
is due to be released within the next couple of weeks, the stores are
taking
pre orders now as there is a high demand for them."

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll going to get the 640amp and cd player V2s. The V2 cd player is available at Richer Sounds already. However, I'd still be tempted if Roksan launched a Kandy Mk 4 though
