6230i mmc card

hello i have just bought a brand new nokia 6230i, i would like a mmc card to put in this phone but my nokia manual says that im not to go over 512MB which other mmc cards are compatible with this

my uncle owns a computer shop and has said that he is not sure if a regular mmc card would be adequate for my phone. but nokia branded ones are a bit steep in price. im not after the best deal i just want to know which card is the better one to choose?

That's MMC+, don't know the difference, a normal MMC card should be fine.

I got a 1Gb MMC card for my PDA and tried to put it in my Nokia 6230, basically it was too thick to fit in the slot under the battery. After comparing the 32Mb from the phone and the 1Gb one it seemed the 1Gb is twice the thickness.

Also it had an extra contact on the corner where the slant is \_______|.

Just 2 things to watch out for

You are describing an SD card. Are you sure you ordered the correct item or that your supplier has not supplied an incorrect item?
