Is component better than RGB Scart?

Hi can anyone tell which is better,

I have a samsung LE31-41 AND a Yamaha 2500 AV,

So what is better connecting Component YBG or Using the RGB???

If your TV has a component input and your DVD player can output a progressive image then component should give a better picture.
I'm not helping much here am I

If the DVD player does not output progressive signal then there is very little difference between RGBcvS & YUV component.
Your best bet is to try both connection types and see which looks best to you.

The most important thing is to realise that the various outputs from all DVD players vary in quality, the principle is exactly as Mark states it, but on occasion the component out can be really bad but the scart output could be really good. In the case of your player the component output is alot better, but the Scart isn't too shabby!
