The 1st film I have seen at the cinema since Hannibal, I have decided that drom now on its gonna be DVD for me ( except for TOMB RAIDER and FINAL FANTASY ) as I love seeing a film for the 1st time at home.

However it was a nice day off for me and the missus and we went on impulse. Probably as good as Ghostbusters but im just not as young as I was which is why Ghostbusters seems better.

The opening meteor scene also has fantastic sound

tomb raider
i am sort of looking forward to it, but oddly the trailer put me off a bit it seemd a bit fakie, the wire work seemed to be tuggng at her, in the manner of that girl in jaws when the shark is eating her when she is swimming, when she jumped, not very convincing.

maybe i will like it better when i go to see the film.

what about planet o' the apes duncan and lord of the rings, surely you have to got to the cinema to see them.

Could not stand the original Planet of the apes and never read Lord of the Rings.

Ill probably get them both on DVD, but just recently I have really disliked the cinema, I prefer watching them at home, feel I get more for my money

Evolution is great!

A bit 'normal' at times but v. funny all the same!

I'm going to see Shrek next, lloks good, and then Final Fantsay.

The cinema that I goto has just been refurbished, so has DD now (ooh... I hear u say!), a new screen etc.

TombRaider was a real mess of a production. Its a shame really as it had some of the best photography in an action film I've seen for a while.

Hate it when they try to shoe horn important post production into the last three months just to please the cola sponsors. I suspect the deleted scenes on the dvd will last longer than the film itself!

Its a really well done film ...apart from the script and the direction unfortunately.
(I doubt its as bad as the Avengers though: although I gave up my cast and crew screening tickets and haven't seen the finished film as I was otherwise engaged)

LOTR should have some of the most impressive looking effects in donkey's years but I'm not convinced the trilogy will make great films ( apart from the first one perhaps).

was the management proud to present dolby stereo

i ahve been in one
with a rather grainy bee flying about the screen, suffice to say the cinema closed for refurbishment/demolition earlier in the year.

it may be ok when it is refurbished/rebuilt.

Seen it and "laughed it". Very funny indeed!

Though it surely will probably not be remembered and I won't get it on DVD it made the whole cinema constantly laugh and was therefore highly enjoyable - recommended!
