I just downloaded all 20Mb of it at work (Fat pipe there - 10 mins max )

One word - WOW!!

I've never had so many people crowded around my desk! Runs for about three mins, and sets the scene brilliantly - Gandalf narrates, for the first part, the rest all seems to be dialouge from the film.

I don't think I've been this excited about a film since I was 5 years old (a certain George Lucas film - you probably wouldn't know it.... )

i have seen afairly lengthy trailer at the cinema for it and it looked excellent, i assume more will be shown soon, hopefully.

my main memory of it was hundreds of goblins wearing chainmail, i think with spears as well, it wasn't too long ago, but is already hazy.

Saw the trailer last night on Film 2001, looks like the film of the year.

 Ruby quartz shades.

Couldn't agree more. Downloaded the full-screen trailer last week on the office ISDN and the entire mag ground to a standstill as everyone gathered around to watch it. Simply magnificent, having now seen three different trailers, each of which contained different sections of footage it's impossible to think how on Earth they could balls this one up. Maybe the cinematic year will end on a high note after all (and we've got another two years' worth to look forward to!). Forget about George Lucas, three cheers for Pete Jackson (as if Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, Braindead, Heavenly Creatures and The Frighteners wasn't reason enough to celebrate anyway).
