Started to get into T2 tonight on channel 5. Until the 'I want your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle' scene in the bar. Cigar stubbed on Arnies chest. Arnie grabs and twists bloke's arm.
Then turns round and grabs tatooed bloke and throws him through the window. WHAT?! Cut out was the bloke whacking Arnie round the back of the head with the Pool cue.
Stupid, pointless cut. Turned over in disgust.
To the World's most scarey police chases or some other crud on Sky one. With fake 'as it happens alarmed comments' dubbed in.
At least there's Blazing Saddles on Movies Gold.

Isn't that the same version of T2 that the BBFC allowed us to see on video as a 15 many years ago?
You'd think that now that it's been passed uncut as a 15 for DVD release the tv companies would get their acts together.

At least you didn't suffer the Lethal Weapon 'TV' version as screened many times before.
Infuriating is all I can say.
Nanny state.
Cutting a pool cue strike, is less harmful than watching a man blast off a zillion bullets, from a portable mini gun normally found in a US strike aircraft? Hmmmmmmmm?

The huge 5 logo at the top of the screen was a pain too!

Well Pan & Scan in a 16x9 frame is bad enough I saw a little while channel hopping.
Channel 5 need their broadcast licence pulling
I have watched about 10 hours at most since they started broadcasting.
Taped an early show - didn't watch it due to moron logo in corner.
Waste of a channel position
Also BBC and ITV I hate BBC Choice, Knowlege, News24 and ITV2 logos - THEY ARE MORONIC like their channel heads.
just go buy it then, artisan, i think, hell i can't remember, have been kind enough to furnish us a wonderful SE in exchange for some cash of course, which should be in most people's collections. You shouldn't feel bad about going and watching the dvd having started watching th film when its on tv, i have to confess to having done that in the past...sad.
movies gold?
is that not sky cinema or something now, or is it something else

Over here in Spain they dont seem to bothered about watersheds and such like, you can often get films on at five in the afternoon with sex & violence!!
We even have hardcore porn on at the weekends, tends to be about 2 in the morning and mostly on the local tv stations.
Cant say i´ve ever noticed them cutting scenes out, maybe i´ve havent been looking hard enough!
cheers

Oh I've got R1 T2 SE. But it's downstairs in the home cinema. I watch telly on average about 10 hours a day while I'm working. Mainly BBC news 24.
If there's a decent film on which I've already seen, I'll put it on in the background.

you dont go for bloomberg then, try watching that for ten minutes, concentrating on every pice of information, will probaly make you pass out. it has to be one of the most horribly laid out stations in existence with the most amateur newsreaders.
