Sorry it's not a Pronto, Lexicon or Crestron query but I have a hard up friend with an elderly JVC HR-D320EK VCR. He has broken/disposed of, the original remote control. Where would I find the
necessary code to program this into his TV remote which appears to have the facility to control a VCR judging by the buttons. It seems to be a sort of cheap universal one called a CPC RC 1000 but I know nothing else about it and have certainly never heard of CPC before. I couldn't find a website either. How else would I be able to make his CPC remote, control the VCR? I'm awaiting a reply from JVC.

Any input gratefully received.

Regards

JVC were extremely helpful!

"Jim, I will like to point out that you will require the original remote controller for the VCR, you can obtain a replacement from the JVC customer service department.
Kind regards
Alesander Keazor
Customer Service Department
alesanderk@jvc.co.uk
0870 330 5000"

Great! I'm sure my mate would love to spend £30+ on his 10-year old VCR when he could probably buy a brand new VCR including a new remote for little more than this price! I did say "Elderly VCR" and "Hard Up!"

Surely somebody can tell me how to make the CPC remote work with the JVC VCR?
