From what ive read the pronto has code database but the rc has more memory as it doesnt...
which is the best, they seem about the same price once you take docks into account

The Pronto only has code database for Philips products - not a lot of use really. It's the Pronto Edit software which really gives it a lead over others. Also, there is a 2meg version. I currently have about 30% free on my 1meg version. I have full remotes (& more) stored for 6 devices. I don't think there's very much different between them, better to check though over at www.remotecentral.com (http://www.remotecentral.com)
