The Futronix P100 - £120 inc. and absolutely a suberb realistically priced programmable dimmer. You will never think about any other type of dimmer once tried. Incredibly comprehensive. Thoroughly recommended, if you really require THE authentic finishing touch, makes Argos/B&Q "dimmers" look like "hard work" (abeit the price).
Steve where can i get one . can you sugest a site . i am interested ;)

I phoned Futronix for a catalogue when I looked in to it a while back.
They normally run an advert in the mag. Peek through some of your back issues of HCC to see it or, search this topic on the forum as many types have been mentioned before.
Try : www.futronix-info.com/ (http://www.futronix-info.com/)
See thread marked "lighting" a few days ago on this General Hardware page for more info on this product.

Have a look at Lutron's range as well - the Maestro/Telumes would suit your purposes I think. Also (slightly more sophisticated) have a look at the GrafikEye 3100 series.
Just my 2p worth. I have a Futronix and it is excellent. Can't imagine how I lived without it. It is expensive compared to the Argos one, but quite a bit cheaper than the Lutron stuff.
It's also available in a number of finishes.
