Cat 5 long VGA cable - resolutions?

I just soldered a CAT5 8 m long VGA cable. Plugged the cable between my projector (Sanyo PLV Z3) and my graphics card (Radeon 9800 Pro) in my computer.

Then I enabled the secondary monitor.

Now I get a picture on the screen, but it's a little bit crippled. If I try to move a window to the "secondary monitor" (that is the projector screen) the picture gets really weird. As if the resolution or something would not be right.

Does anyone know what resolution and frequency setting I should try with in Powerstrip, or what the cause to the above mentioned problems?

CAT5 is not designed for VGA that might be part of the problem, why not use a proper VGA cable with 75 ohm coaxial conductors.

The only way to use cat 5 with RGBHV is to use baluns, unless you believe thecable makes no difference brigade
