Post Editing Digitally

My boss has bought a Sony Digital 8 video camera.

What does he need to edit on a PC, also how does he enable DV in on the ILink socket?

Thankyou

I'm afraid I'm still editing in analogue between 2 vcrs (Edit deck Sony SLHF950)

You need a Firewire card for the PC and an appropriate cable. Also some software to edit to videos.
And lastly a cheapish bit of hardware can enable DV in on DV Out sockets.
I got all my stuff from UKDigital.com. The card and lead with MGI SE software came to £30 and works fine.
Thay also do the DV-in enabler, I believe.
