PC to speaker cable

Apologies in advance - this strikes me as either a stupid question, or one with a very obvious answer. However, I can't find it anywhere, so I've got to ask!

I've got a PC that I want to use to feed the redundant set of speakers that I currently have mounted in my living room. Problem is, the PC has stero jack outputs, which I can find no way of using to connect to normal speaker cable.

Is there some way of going directly from a PC to speaker cable? Or will I have to feed it through an amp first?

You'll find the line level won't drive the speakers sufficiently. It's best you pass the signal through an amp (or get some powered speakers)
