Panasonic EH60D timer recordings via epg watching a dvd

hi guys will i be able to watch a dvd whilst the panasonic works on a timer recording , ie while it is recording or comes out of standby will i be able to put a dvd in without it affecting the recording .also how many timer advents will the new panasonic have how many timer recordings will i be able to set up
