my mini dish is set up on astra 2 sat i would like to view a channel from hotbird3 sat is the location of hotbird3 sat deferent from astra 2 if yes how much in which direction?
Hotbird 3 is at 13 degrees east of south, which means that your dish needs to be pointed 15 degrees west of where it is now (and the azimuth adjusted to suit).
I think Nick meant "elevation" adjusted to suit.
Basically to point at the 13 degree east geostationary orbital slot your dish will also need to point a couple of degrees higher.

I am a bit new to sat and degree stuff, will that be OK, if i turn the dish a bit to the West from where it is now in Astra 2 (about 3 centimeter?) and a bit higher.
Will i be able to to view the current channels? e.g. bbc3 reality tv etc..
You can only watch one satellite at a time. If you want to watch a second satellite, you will need either a second dish, or a means of moving your existing dish accurately between the two satellite positions. Bear in mind that if you are using a Sky box, you will have to tune in extra channels manually, and the settings available for symbol rate and FEC are not as varied as those available with non-Sky digital boxes, so you may not be able to tune the channel.
