Hi,
We've got a client who has a Panasonic digital CAMCORDER. He is looking for some easy way to edit his tapes, store them in a high quality format and then download to a normal VCR. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Remember I am the messanger. This is not my bag baby! Please make it simple for me....
Cheers,
Gordon

hi gordon
is he going to use a computer?
has his camcorder got dv in enabled?
does he want to add transitions voice overs etc?
what is the model of his camcorder?
jason
I use Adobe Premiere editing software. Sony digital camcorder via firewire conenction captures straight to hard disk for edit, then back out (digital firewire again) to camcorder with no loss of quality.
From the digital masters you can then dub to VHS with the inherent loss of quality, but at least you still are dubbing from a 1st Gen master.
If you'd like further info post your email address and I'll drop you a line.

Gordon,
Well, it's a lot simpler now than 'in my day' young fella me lad. Still a bit of a minefield though
