Hi Guys,
I'm new to VoIP and I bought a SkypeOUT calling card and the voice quality is a disaster, get disconnected every 20 seconds.
Can someone recommend a reliable and cheap software-based voip service? I don't think I'm ready for those hardphone companies. Thanks

Who knows Canada or US providers?

I was calling US and China, but Skype didn't perform as they usually do on the computers. I bought a 10 euro card and I guess I will have to throw it away, any suggestions?

just got one regular phone number !!!
After active my account, go to "My profile" on vbuzzer website, click "Apply for a Phone Number", choose "Be buzzed with a phone number". when you login vbuzzer, it will pop a window to display "you get phone number". it's 30 days trial.

 I got the number finally, thanks wysxs! It works so sweet, call in and out! Have you tried to call other countries?
I am thinking about if I should buy a plan after trial, since it's very cheap($2.49 Unlimited local, $5.49 Unlimited Canada, $7.99 US and Canada). Is it worthy buying? Any suggestion?
I have the same question, can I have a chance to test the long distance voice quality of vbuzzer, like 5 minutes free LD call?

I tried vbuzzer, it seems can call 1~2 minutes to US. After that can only call canda for free. The quality is really good.
:smashin:
You are right. I made a call to US about 2 minutes, the quality is acceptable.

Poldoc, do you get a number with voipcheap. I am new to all this but have read that on many services they give you a phone number that other people use to ring you on, and you can answer this number by being logged on anywhere in the world?
Cheers

A new service at http://www.callpacket.com
they offer 100 free minutes to US+Canada plus a free number in US (so people can call you as if you had a real phone in US). No credit card needed for FREE plan. It's worth a try.

Hi fellow forum surfers
I use Skype and Skypelin (calls to landline phones) and yes a pig to set up but once your in it works fine ,Ive found the best way to use the system is with ear phones with integral mike I use Sennheiser, yes, expensive but quality is excellent.
