I asked about a part-exchange price for my Ixus 500 (hardly used) and walked out of the shop at the derisory offer.
Now that I've bought my Canon 350D (without trade0in) I'm thinking of off loading the Ixus to a friend or workmate at a good price for them.
What sort of price would you think reasonable?
Bear in mind it would be under whatever the going Ebay price would be. I don't mind them getting a bargain but I don't want to just give it away for peanuts.

The Ixus 500 can be found for £230-£250 new.
I reckon as its 6 months old and has 6mths remainder Canon warranty it worth £180.00. If you throw in a case or mem card thats fair value.
If its a friend than £150 is a good price for the both of you.
Ebay is full of pimps looking for something for nothing IMHO. People dont want to pay for decent money for 2nd hand goods nowadays, they want it dirt cheap.
I`d sell it to the friend.
