Plasma Panny Power Cable Needed Solved Humming Need 5m Lead

hi all found out that my humming problem is the power cable to my panny plasma due to me extending this cable with normal flex, so can i buy a power cable with the right connector for the tv if so where or can i by the flex ??

any ideas?

Cutting the mains cable and adding a bit could( unlikely IMHO)technically cause hassles with a warranty claim if Panasonic were feeling awkward.

Its a normal IEC connection with ferrite cores around the ends ( you should have spare ones that came with your set) Really long ones are probably easily got at a decent music shop as most PA's amps use this connection or Maplins.
Plasma uses a fair bit of juice so make sure the cable you buy is of the correct ampage. You could always make your own from thick gauge mains cable and buy the IEC connector which Russ Andrews can sell on its own ( I had difficulty sourcing a IEC connector from anywhere else). I had to do this for my subwoofer due to daft plug placement in my house. There is a Sticky thread on DIY mains cables on this forum.

Or you could always buy an upgraded one to you requirements from Russ Andrews.com or Ecosse etc. Of course this will hurt the wallet and you probably wont notice much difference.
