More problems

Well it could be a lead that might be causing the green flashing problem, not sure as yet but now have more problems, I reset the 868 back to factory settings as described in the manual, and now when i connect the the Pioneer 868 to the 30H it crashes the 30H and I am unable to to get to the Pioneers first setup screen to specify HDMI, so at the moment up the creek

Green flashes often point to the cable or at least the signal coming through it - how long is the cable? Cheaper cables over 7.5m long can cause problems.

RTFM (Jeff) has (or had) the 868 so he might be able to help you more.

Gary.

Hi Gary,

Yes the cable was 10 meters, a Van De Hul but think its a manufacture error one of the ends is loose,

But since I reset the 868 Can think why the 30H would stop responding when the 868 is plugged in
the 30H is new with the lattes software in 2.46.12.

Ok some more info on the 868,

Manage to connect the 868 to a TV via DVI,i get the Pioneer logo at the start but the blue HDMI light on the front just flashes and the screen flashes as well,
I know this is probably not the right place for this but I know one or two people with sims and 868 so heres hope for some help

I have to say I've never seen an HDMI cable with a loose end - mind you an installer called today who has managed to shear the end off of one; he reads these threads so I'll not name names

Your cable definitely sounds faulty and I'd stop plugging things together using it if they keep on crashing!

The DV-868AVi to your TV's DVI Input sounds more of an HDCP issues than a cable fault - is the DVI Input labelled as HDCP compliant; if not your unlikely to get the kit talking when your playing a Movie.

Best regards

Joe
