A german website tested a number of DVI-output players for proper color temperature reproduction, which may be of some interest to the owners of the tested models:

According to this, the Denon DVD-2910 and 3910 have a bug that will lead to color problems in dark areas of the image in RGB mode as well as wrongly resetting itself to RGB mode from YPbPr when switching off.
The DVD-S97 from Panasonic seems to be universally hopeless with older firmware but does fine with the newest edition.
Denon's DVD-1910, DVD-A11 and Pioneer's DV-668/868 pass the test with flying colors.
