Well, as I am well over 60 miles inland I had to come up with a different interpretation of this months theme just to get any kind of shot.

Took this today whilst out walking round a local golf course, had to wait by a par 3 and talk nicely to two players who let me take a few shots, most of them were crap, but having zoomed about a bit to find a decent crop section I came up with this.

I used to watch quite a lot of American golf on the TV, anfd they had certain phrases that they used a lot, one of which was 'He's on the beach with that shot' in that usual, almost derisary American accent.

This has been cropped from a larger picture, colour adjusted a little and a small sharpen to make the sand more defined. Added a little border too.

I was going to inbed the image but have not really sorted out webspace yet. Shame because the compression has blurred it a bit :(

The joy of Telfords finest pay and play golf course in Horsehay by far.

That has to be one of the worst looking bunkers I've ever seen, just look at the stones and rubbish top left :lesson:
Have to admit I've never been big on golf, used to have a knock around when I was younger but with 9 holes consisting of 10 minutes of hitting the ball followed by a couple of hours trying to locate it the fascination wore of very quickly :boring:
Pity there were people around Steve as I think the addition of a sandcastle would have helped the composition no end

I agree about the sandcastle to be honest. I was trying to convince Lorna to get her bikini out and pose in the bunker, but the old fellows playing golf would have had a heart attack!
