I live nowhere near a beach, not going to get the chance to get to one and not going on holiday until just after the competition closes. So as I can't think of anything original given the above, it's just an archive photo from me.

This was taken in Australia while checking out the north east coast near Cape Tribulation. The photo makes me want to go back there as it was a great holiday!

Shot with my Ixus 330, the only changes have been a crop and resize.

Looks like a nice beach too, though there seems to have been a small nuclear explosion in the middle of it............or is that a tree?

Thanks Steve. Seeing the tree there was what prompted me to take the picture. We actually went down to the beach and I took a shot of just the beach with tree but somehow the shot above just had more oomph about it.
