Toshiba 36ZP38 aspect problem


I have a Toshiba 36ZP38. I watch in 16:9 subtitle or wide all the time. Problem is that the TV spontaneously switches to 4:3 when certain programmes come on or when I switch on my DVD player, and at other seemingly random times too. Is there a setting I can alter to make the tv always display in 16:9?

go into tv menu, select features menu, go to automatic format and select off
