NW-HD5 30GB £179.00 From Dixons Online

So has anyone bought one of these yet & has anyone reported faults with the buttons on the 30gb versions ........... so much info now on the thread re this issue that it'll take too long to go thru - perhaps I should just buy it cause it's at such a good price.

Resisted buying a 20gb in SIngapore last month depsite of longs prices but REALLY want the 30gb model..........

Tks,

TSM

I ordered one on Tuesday from Dixons on line and am waiting for it to be delivered. When I checked their site today I couldn't find it, have they sold out or something?

They have it listed in the portable cd section by mistake. I ordered mine on Monday, delivery mon-wed next week. I think they need to look at their delivery company. £10 delivery minimum and somat like £25 quid if you want it delivered on Saturday. This is how they are making their profits, and it stinks.

I don't think you can really complain if you get an NW-HD5H delivered for £189.99.

After all these are £229.99 elsewhere and even the 20GB is selling at £199.99 in many stores.

The NW-HD1 was £299.99.

I didnt mean to complain - perhaps i was being a bit over the top, but I dont think they should charge 25 quid for delivery. It would be good if they displayed the price for delivery earlier though.

Don't bother with the £25 option, I paid 10 on Tuesday aftwernoon and it is going to be delivered by DHL tomorrow which isn't too bad.

I ordered mine from Dixons online 2 weeks ago (turned up few days later, v happy with this player).

I was shocked to see that it had dropped £50 in price (via this thread), so I phoned them up and they're refunding me the difference. So anyone else who bought theirs at a similar time, looks like they'll refund you the difference between old and new price (good news).

I'm amazed at that. I've never heard of a retailer refunding the difference after dropping the price, what a (crazy) precedent to set. Good for the customer but I wouldn't expect to see it anywhere else.

Dixons Group (Dixons, Currys, PC World) will refund the difference if the price changes within 7 days
