Unhappy philips 610

hi i am having a few problems with my dvd recorder philips 610 when after recording i go to erase the disc which i does but then after that i can't record any more cos the box at the top which says empty title as gone so the dics is no good anyone had this problem before?

Indeed. However I think the irony has been lost - we seem to be dealing with the same individual.
