Just got Sky for the first time a few weeks ago - can anyone please tell me how I can get the EPG to show only the channels I subscribe too or, even better yet, to only show the channels I want to know whats on on. When searching for whats on to plan my viewing I don't want to have to scroll through endless shopping and porn channels I don't want to even know exist and all the nice sports and movies channels I cannot afford to subscribe too!
On both Telewest and NTL you can set the EPG to only display your favorites but SKY seem to; a) only allow you to set 20 favorites and b) only see favorites channels only by pressing the blue button when the little on screen info bar is on which is no use for planning and setting reminders etc!
This is really annoying me and as consequence I am annoying my missus -which is not safe for too long
You can not however an update later this year will allow you to remove the "adult" channels.
You will be surprised how quickly you learn the 3 digit numbers for the channels you watch on a regular basis and surfing the whole EPG then becomes something you do on a very rare occasion.

Set up to 20 favourite channels , and surf through the banners with the blue button
Can be set up under services iirc
