DVD Compatibility not set-prevents making DVD-R

I have a Panasoniic E20 and a Toshiba XS34. If I make a timed recording with the XS34, I set the DVD-R compatibility to ON and I can then make a DVD-R from the videos on the HDD. Hiwever if I make a DVD-RAM disk on the Panasonic and copy to the HDD on the XS34, I then get a message when I want to make a DVD-R that the video was not recorded in DVD Compatibility mode. Is there any way around this?

Thanks

Alan Wood

Yes - you will need to do a realtime encode.
