WIFI Hotspots

Hi folks,

I will shortly be receiving a Dell Axim X30 which has intergrated WIFI. Can I look forwards to lots of free online surfing when I'm out and about or are free WIFI Hotspots still very scarce???

Thanks,

Pete.

There are thousands of WiFi hotspots out there, garages, service stations, railway stations, hotels...etc...

But they don't come cheap....

Beware, although its easy to find unprotected WiFi connections it is illegal, check out this article: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07..._driver_fined/

Thanks Priceless,

It's the legitimate freebie sites that I am interested in. I have found the odd website that lists UK free sites but there doesn't seem to be that many (or the lists aren't kept up to date). I guess libraries may have them and I know some posh cafes/bars have them where the service is provided in return for your custom. The link to the prosecution was a shocker I bet lots of people have insecure wifi broadband set-ups in their houses

Thanks again,

Pete.
