Sky Plus and Free View Installation Help

I've just had Sky + installed and they have left me my old Sky Box. I'd like to set this up so I can watch freeview channels in another room. Has anyone done this or know a site I can look at which tells me how to do it. The Sky Helpline advised getting an engineer or simply running a cable from one of the 4 points on the dish to the freeview box. Is it this simple or am I wasting my time?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Kieron

If you're running the cable from your dish you'd get freesat not freeview (i.e. no E4, but more channels). I don't know what, if any, configuration you might need to do to your old box to get freesat or if its just plug in and view. If you've got a terrestrial ariel coming into the other room anyway it might be a lot less hassle to spend £40 on a freeview box.
