2 Sky+ and 1 Sky - Is this possible?

Am moving back to parents for a while and have built an extension. I have booked "moving home" package where Sky will reinstall my sky+ and put a dish on my extension.

My dad has sky but also wants to upgrade to sky+ downstairs and multiroom upstairs so would need 3 outputs on his dish. I rang Sky to see if they would do the whole installation however they said they would not put 2 dishes (5 LNB outputs) on the same house and I would have to get an outside engineer to do this.

After I get this installed is it possible to have a SKY+ and 2 multirooms rather than my dad and me having separate accounts as this would save £30 a month?

cheers Rod

As long as you can convince Sky it should be OK.
However I think they would rather charge you more money than less

Apparently an OCTO LNB exists (8 outputs)

If they won't let you have a single account, see if you can live with one of the boxes being Free To Air only.

If you want 3 Sky+ apparently you need 2 accounts:

Thanks for your response. I have just read one of the URLs you mentioned and it states that to have multiroom you need both boxes connected 2 the same phone line. I've got a separate phone line in the extension so looks like I'll have to pay for another subscription!!

I would have thought it would be worth your while running a phone point into your extension considering the potential sky saving you could make by not taking out a full new subsciption. OK so it costs you a few quid to do, but you'll be saving potentially £30 a month (full package minus multiroom)

Thats exactly what ive done, me and the wife live in an extension built onto my parents house (we all live onsite at the family business), my parents have one of the multiroom accounts and i have sky+ and another multiroom, i just ran a phone line through my loft into their house for the sky boxes, saves me a bundle o money and sky dont have a problem with it because the house is classed as 1 building and is all owned by the same person .
