looking for Phone for IM use

Im looking for a phone mainly to use with Instant Messaging. (yahoo if poss)
I need to use for voice and sms too.

It needs to fit in my pocket so I guess a PDA is out.

If I can get it to around 2 hundred squids per year for phone and cost of IM,
I would be a happy bunny.

Ive always been a bog standard "pay as you goer" so data prices are a new one for me.

and...My first post.
Sorry If im not asking right questions or missing details

Any help or where to look for it, much appreciated.

The Orange SPV C500 or the C550 will do, windows based, small size and both come with MSN messenger pre-loaded, im sure u can get Yahoo aswell! A great phone and with much better batterylife than the previous builds U have the choice u should be able to pick up the C500 quite cheaply on pay+go now.

also u can now buy bundles of data every month on pay+go(Orange extras)

I use a Nokia 6630 and before that a Nokia 6600. Both run Agile Messenger so I have MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AOL, and ICQ on them at the same time. It's a good application and free at www.agilemobile.com

Thanks Samco..

Got ideas for the phones now.. cool.

I was hoping to be able to have IM switched on 24/7..
Now I need to check what this costs..
even how it would be charged.

Does anyone know if you get charged per kb for a message..
Or how the charges work.
Ive been searching for tariff info at various places..

It looks like it well hidden.
Cos I cant find anything..
So Im thinking its going to be expensive, otherwise they would be shouting about the prices.

Thanks for everyones help!
