Decent cieling speakers

Try a pair of B&W CCM65's, they a great speakers, better then the Linn's for Home Cinema useage, cost around £270.

I have been looking around for some decent cieling speakers for a while but havent had much luck. Has anyone got any good ones that they would recommend ?

I have also heard that packing the ceiling cavity behind the speakers can give you a better quality of sound, does anyone know if this is true ?

Check out the M&K SW-85 in-wall speakers. I'm not sure how much they cost but they are definitely the business - in fact I've lost count of the number of times I've seen them used in professional home cinema installations as featured in various HC magazines.

The best way to improve the sound is to box the speakers in the ceiling. It's very easy to do and improves the bass response, and cuts down on muffled mid-range. It is best to give each drive unit around 1 cubic foot of space to breathe in, and you can use something like Dynamat to keep the sound from spreading up-stairs.

Which speakers do you have currently, and are you adding to their system or making a new one?
