samsung sp46l6hx - shadow on bottom of screen

hi ive the samsung sp46L6HX and ive noticed what appears to be a darkend band across the bottom of the screen (about 1 inch high) its visable in all scart feeds (i tried xbox )
ive also looked at some of my settings but none seem to help , is it a lamp alignment problem (if such a thing exists ?)
incuded is a pic ..
BTW ive noticed the band for about a week and cannot remember if i saw it on day 1 tho.

No expert here, but that does look to be a problem. During my time in retail I did notice similar problems on older CRT rear projection screens and that was down to mis-alignment, but I'm not sure if that can be the case here. Would be my first guess too though.

Get it checked while its still new and get a replacement.

thanks , also as no expert i thought the same , anyone else know if this is the likely problem ,and would i be able to rectify it myself - ive no exp' of rear Projection tellys and im asuming that i can re-insert the lamp properly - or am i barking up wrong tree ? (as im not looking forward to taking back set and wait for replacement if at all possible)
